Electrical Project Value – £2,650,000

Completed in March 2024, this project aimed to enhance the efficiency of diagnosing conditions like cancer and cardiovascular disease. The primary goal was to provide convenient healthcare options for patients, eliminating the need for them to travel long distances to Cambridge.

The newly established center boasts state-of-the-art imaging equipment, including CT, MRI, X-Ray, and ultrasound machines. Additionally, it offers cardio-respiratory and blood tests. In its inaugural year, the center is projected to facilitate an extra 60,000 appointments for checks, scans, and tests in the Cambridgeshire region.

R P Bray successfully installed an 11KV supply for a new 2MVA transformer, accompanied by all the necessary LV switchgear throughout the hospital. This upgrade ensured ample capacity for the newly installed scanners. Additionally we installed a reliable standby 1MVA generator  to provide emergency power to the hospital. To complete the project, the expert team from R P Bray also handled tasks such as IPS/UPS, lighting, small power, data, fire alarm, nurse call, containment, and sub main cabling.
